On the bright side... =(
I get a really, really long time to get thin/go to school/win a Nobel Peace Prize and/or cure cancer.
I saw the OB/GYN and started on birth control a little over a week go. If things go as planned, we MIGHT try for more kids in a couple of years. Then again, things never go as planned when you relapse into endometriosis .
The doctor confirmed what I'd hoped I'd never hear. Pregnancy DOESN'T cure endo like they thought it did. Instead, it merely puts it into remission until cycles start again. It DOES return...it's just a matter of how quickly. For me, it was 4 cycles.
I don't even have words. I know God can heal me if it is His will...but I also know that we live in a fallen world where we need to be realistic...and statistically it doesn't look good. We got pregnant once, yes, but I was being treated for diabetes with a fertility drug.
The only "cure" is a total hysterectomy.

Don't lose all hope! Just cause one doc says that, doesn't mean it is 100% certain. There are always new treatments, the internet is a wealth of knowledge. Find people in your situation, there can be comfort in knowing you are not alone. Remember that no matter what happens, you are blessed with one beautiful perfect little boy!
