Bi-Monthly Menu - July 24th - August 7th

I've allowed for a bit of wiggle room since finding out that I had two small roasts in the freezer at my parents' house (most likely those will become Sunday afternoon meals and this menu will stand for dinner meals.

If you are unfamiliar with any of the listed meals and want a recipe, feel free to ask.  If there is a big enough demand for them, I'll start a recipe specific blog so that links can be hyperlinked through these original posts.

  1. Looks good -- you are very motivated to plan out so far in advance! Something that I really like to do is to make one giant batch of a dish and then serve it once and freeze the rest. This works great for things like beef stew, lasagna, mac and cheese, etc. It really cuts down on the prep time because you're only doing everything once (even if you make a double or triple batch) but get a ton of extra meals -- and this allows for really easy dinners on nights when you've had a busy day.

  2. That's a great idea! I know my SIL did that for a few months before her last baby and that way they had meals saved up for actual homemade meals during that time frame where you feel like doing NOTHING other than sleeping when the baby sleeps. I'll plan to do it next time around!!!
