Alright, who prayed that I'd have patience?

Our life is sort of back at a stand still.  Jeff had drill over this weekend and found out that in order to stay with the unit he's looking to transfer into, he needs to consider changing his MOS (the job he does for the military).  Currently he is a cook and he would be transferring to a job as a laundry and bath specialist.  The biggest plus would be that there is much more room for advancement in the latter.  The biggest negative would be his having to leave for a month and train for the new job in Virginia.  It's not even so much the being separated as a family.  We made it through a year so I know we can make it through a month.  No, the biggest negative is that with having to train for a month out of state, he'd have to postpone school in some respect.  We aren't sure when the training class dates are just yet, but we should find out by the end of this week and know where to go from there.  The way it looks and sounds at this point is that school may be deferred until the fall, which also means that our being able to find and move into our own place would be deferred until then.  We are absolutely eligible for the home loan offered through the VA, but until there is a steady income other than unemployment (ie the GI Bill) we cannot move forward with it.

I'm not going to freak or stress out at this point.  We have a place to live.  We do have some form of income at this point and when Jeff leaves for training, he will receive a month's worth of active duty pay.  We don't have a lot in the way of expenses right now and are making just enough + a little to store away with what we have coming in right now...  It's just quite stressful and quite unnerving to have plans significantly change less than a week before they are to go into action.  I'll definitely update as soon as we know more regarding the training and when Jeff's college classes will be postponed to.  In the mean time, our family would covet your prayers and thoughts as we seek God's will in our lives and in this situation especially.
