Today's Show is Brought To You By The Letter "S"

I was tagged by the lovely miss Holly to do the following fun blog. Here's how it works: You leave a comment on this post, and I'll assign you a letter. You write about ten things you love that begin with your assigned letter and you post it on your blog. When people comment on your post you assign them a letter and the fun continues. Here we go! 1. Son - as in Kamden. He is the absolute light of my life and joy of my world. We were originally not looking at the best odds of having children at all and after many months of bleeding scares, worries about hydrocephalus, problems with blood pressure, decreased fetal movement, etc...he's here and perfect. I never thought I'd have so much love in my heart for such a little person. He's amazing. 2. Soap - considering that RIGHT after starting this entry we had a MAJOR blow out poopy diaper and needed to soak the clothes and wash the baby...today I am VERY grateful for this invention. 3. Seattle - as in one of my BFF, ...

Things to Come

Just to let you know - for those who are following Kamden's health - he is set to have a sedated MRI on January 23rd to check the ventricles that had had excess fluid during my pregnancy. Now that things have started fusing in the skull, they want to make sure that there is no increased pressure inside the brain. I'll let you know as soon as we have results!

Koopman Family Christmas

Image
On December 13th, we got together with Jeff's brothers, sisters, their families and their dad. The family was kind enough to have it a lot earlier than normal this year since Jeff, Kamden and I will be leaving for Texas this week and we had a great time! 13 of the 15 grandkids were present and it made for a fun night of wrapping and tissue paper fights, laughing, and memory making. Jeff's oldest sister took on the tradition of reading the stories "The Christmas Shoes" and "Tale of Three Trees". The kiddos loved it and I'm sure that my mother in law was smiling down on the group, happy to see that traditions are carrying on and all are enjoying them still! All ready to go to Christmas and looking handsome! Kamden's Shirt says, "Mom and Dad's best gift ever!" and it is so true!

He's a Dancin' Machine!!!

Kamden has finally started to respond to some of the things we ask him to do...namely dancing. Jeff is helping him in the first video but in the second he's doing it ALL on his own and cracking up!

Okay, fine, I get it.

**DISCLAIMER - This post is not intended to be directed at any one person. In fact, if you are reading this and wondering if it involves you, I can almost promise you that it's not related to you in any way. This is frustration and pent up aggression regarding lots of different conversations and comments from lots of different people stemming back almost a year now. I have to get it out. ** You've hinted at, joked about, and even flat out told me, though not in these specific words, that I am not the "ideal" mom and wife. You sent subtle "suggestions" about my being overweight and needing to get checked out so my husband would know what he was "dealing with". You've looked down on me and made assumptions about me because of my having diabetes. Without even taking the time to TRY to be educated about it, you've told me that it was my fault I was ever diagnosed. You have compared yourself and me where there was no need nor any room for...
